Biography

Dr Chow Chow is a Pain Specialist and Consultant Anaesthetist.

Dr Chow is trained in all aspects of pain medicine, including multidisciplinary pain management and interventional pain medicine techniques.

He undertook his medical training in New Zealand, where he completed his specialist training in Anaesthesia at three Auckland major hospitals. Dr Chow then underwent pain medicine training  at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He achieved academic excellence by attaining the Merit award for the Faculty of Pain Medicine Fellowship Examination in 2019. Dr Chow underwent further training in advanced interventional procedures in Sydney.

Dr Chow has a strong interest in improving the political sphere of medicine. He completed the master of global health policy with the prestigious world-leading London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His major interest lies in policy analysis of the Australian response to changing practices regarding pain medicine.

Fees

With a valid referral, you will receive a Medicare rebate. A valid referral has to be current and come from a general practitioner or another specialist.

Initial Consult:                            $450.00  Medicare Rebate: $143.35

Follow-up Consult:                        $280.00  Medicare Rebate: $112.55

Cancellation Policy - There is a strict cancellation policy in place for appointments with Dr Chow Chow. Cancellation or appointment changes require a minimum notice of 24 hours, and failure to do so will result in a fee ranging from 50% to 100% of the consultation cost. This is not covered by Medicare.
