Biography

Benjamin is a Neurologist &Neuroimmunologist with a warm, professional attitude who places great value on using his specialist expertise and emotional astuteness to provide optimal outcomes for all patients.

He completed his BAppSc (Exercise & Sport Science & Nutrition) in 2007 and MBBS in 2012 (USyd). He completed his specialty training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Multiple Sclerosis & Neuroimmunology Fellowship), St. Vincent’s Hospital, and Concord Repatriation General Hospital.

2024 is his final year of a Neuroimmunology PhD; he has published three first-author articles in high-impact journals on Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody-associated Disease, Neuromyelitis Optica and Autoimmune Encephalitis. 

He regularly presents at national and international neurology conferences.
Benjamin has specialist expertise in MS and other autoimmune neurological disorders, and has developed a keen interest in managing patients with Migraine, and performing therapeutic Botulinum Toxin procedures.

Fees

With a valid referral, you will receive a Medicare rebate. A valid referral has to be current and come from a general practitioner or another specialist.

Initial Consult:                                     $435.00 to $540.00  Medicare Rebate: $143.35 to $250.65

Follow-up Consult:                              $255.00 to $310.00  Medicare Rebate: $71.70 to $125.55

If you have a Health Care or Pension Card the fee may vary, please contact reception on (02) 9331 7546 to discuss.

Cancellation Policy - There is a strict cancellation policy in place for appointments with Dr Trewin. Cancellation or appointment changes require a minimum notice of 24 hours, and failure to do so will result in a fee of 50% of the consultation cost and the cost of the procedure (if scheduled). This is not covered by Medicare.
